Policies/Procedures:

Oakland Human Services offers a variety of programs.
The WIC program is designed to serve certain categories of women, infants, and children; participants living in the area near our clinic, participants with income at or below income level set by the State agency, and participants determined with nutrition risk. Please call for screening and eligibility information. Through WIC, participants will receive special checks to buy healthy foods like milk, juice, cereal, eggs, beans or peanut butter, as well as receive nutrition education from our trained WIC staff either individually or in a group setting.

The Family Child and Guidance programs promote and support mental health and substance abuse awareness based on traditional healing practices. Inspired by traditional American Indian values, we deliver treatment and prevention efforts aimed to restore balance and well-being for you. Services include: individual therapy, family therapy, community outreach, group therapy, talking circles, traditional healing activities, confidential HIV/AIDS services, substance abuse treatment, youth services, case management, and various community groups.
